Meet Your Colorado College SRO

Officer Sid SantosĀ

I have been an officer with CSPD since 1997. I first became an SRO in 2001 at Cheyenne Mountain High School. I then transitioned to a middle school SRO at Holmes middle school and Fox Meadow middle school.

Between 2005 and 2010 I was a motorcycle officer and assigned to the major accident unit.

I became the Gold Hill Crime Prevention Officer in 2011 and was there until 2019.

In 2019 I came to Colorado College as their School Resource Officer. For me, it was a return to Colorado College since I graduated from there in 1994.

The reason I became an SRO was that my intention in college was to become a biology teacher. I also had a desire to become involved with a school outdoor club having been involved with that activity in high school.

My interests outside of work included mountain biking, hiking, backpacking, camping and four-wheeling.
