The Community Development Advisory Committee (CDAC) is appointed by the mayor and will advise on priority funding areas for the Community Development Division's Annual Action Plan. High priority funding areas typically include homeless facilities and services, affordable housing, and neighborhood/community investments such as Southeast Colorado Springs or the Mill Street neighborhood.

The Community Development Division is looking for broad representation from across the city and volunteers with subject matter expertise on a range of topics, including mental/behavioral health, addiction, housing finance, marginalized and/or underserved populations. There will be opportunities to learn as well as opportunities to help inform the upcoming 2024 Action Plan and 2025-2030 Consolidated Plan guiding the City's use of Housing and Urban Development funding.

Meeting Time: The committee will meet 6 - 8 times annually. Dates and times to be determined.

Vacancies: Seven members to serve staggered terms, who shall have a background in policy, housing, homelessness, community engagement, and/or a closely related field. Membership should reflect the geographic diversity of the City.

Applications are due by 5 p.m. on Friday, March 17.
